VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Current openings are for Road Mte. Tech. and Roadway Tech.

Road Maintenance Technician qualifications:

  • Valid Fl. CDL Class B license (or must obtain w/in 6 mths.)
  • Good driving record
  • Strength to perform heavy manual labor
  • Be able to operate hand tools, small power equip. and equipment related to maintenance of highway right-of-way. 
  • Prefer high school diploma or GED.  Salary starts at $6.57.

 

Roadway Tech (temp./ full time):

  • Requires FDOT Asphalt Paving Level I certification, knowledge of road construction & maintenance
  • Experience w/surveying instruments & site investigation. 
  • Three years experience w/road construction.  Salary: $15 - $25 hr.
