The North Central Florida Regional Planning Council (NCRFPC) applied for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) on behalf of the Taylor County Board of County Commissioners. As recipients of the CDBG Program, the County will rehabilitate owner occupied homes that are located outside the city limits. This two-year CDBG Program will rehabilitate 21 homes with funds available up to $23,000 per home.

SHIP will match the grant with funds available up to $10,000. Since the homeowner will be required to relocate while the rehabilitation is in process, $250 will be available for temporary relocation of the household and goods. Also, $250 will be available when the house owner moves back in the home.
